Seattle Community Working to Make $15 a Reality

October 24, 2014

21374-facebook-graphic.jpgFormer SIS security officer Daivon Young is featured in the National Employment Law Project (NELP)'s new report designed to help Seattle's leadership understand just how hard it will be to enforce the city's new $15 minimum wage--if they don't get the community involved in a big way.

Many employers like SIS retaliate against employees who speak out about working conditions.

For example, SIS failed to pay overtime rates for weeks when Daivon worked over 40 hours.

Read Daivon's whole story, and the rest of the report from the National Employment Law Project here.
