I work for Inter-Con in Hayward and it’s been difficult to work there because of the lack of respect I receive. Supervisors are rude and belittle me when I ask for them how to do something.

We’ve been trying to have a union and supervisors have been intimidating and mean – if we can have a union I think it will stop the mental harassment we’ve been getting from managers.

I also want to have a union because I have a seven year old son, Don, and I worry that we couldn’t help him if he got sick. If we can win higher wages and better healthcare, it would help my family tremendously. I wouldn’t have to worry about making hard choices about my family’s health and well-being.
