According to court documents, U.S. Security Associates -- the fourth-largest private security firm in the country -- has:
- violated security and contract requirements in Washington, D.C.
- failed at least 12 weapons inspections tests
- failed every penetration exercise in Washington, D.C., since May 28, 2010
- had its public contracts cancelled in New Jersey and Washington, D.C., because of repeated inability to provide coverage for posts, and failed to furnish guards with proper certification and training
- violated wage-and-hour laws which prompted lawsuits, including settling a lawsuit for more than a million dollars, and facing a pending class action suit seeking more than $5 million in damages. U.S. Security Associates has been forced to settle at least 16 other federal wage-and-hour lawsuits since 2004
- seriously violated health and safety law in at least six states
- violated workers' rights
- has built a shocking record of sexual harassment and race and gender discrimination, including being found liable for $2.55 million by a federal jury in "the most egregious case of sexual harassment, retaliation, and tortious conduct that has been tried in this court.
